Peanut butter + chocolate = the perfect pair. Protein bars are a great way to get in… protein! (it’s in the name) But really, protein bars can be a great nutritious breakfast, snack, or even a dessert. These protein bars are super simple, can be made in less than ten minutes, and enjoyed in less than half an hour, not to mention, these protein bars are delicious! These bars are smooth, nutty, and not-too-sweet, the chocolate chips add in a nice crunch and mix well with the nutty flavors from the peanut butter.

Not only are these protein bars super easy to put together, but they also don’t require baking so they end up being super quick! The Details:

Since these bars don’t require baking, I don’t have too many tips to give! All you have to do is mix the ingredients, press into the pan, and refrigerate for a bit. I used Collagen powder for my protein powder because it is great for your hair, skin, and joints. Collagen is also a great source of protein, of course, if you’re vegan or prefer using another protein powder, you can substitute the collagen for your protein powder of choice. Pro tip: These bars taste good straight from the fridge but taste even better when it comes closer to room temperature.

Paleo and Vegan Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Protein Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Peanut Butter
  • 6 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 Cup Almond Flour
  • 5 Tbsp Collagen Protein Powder (Or sub 80 g (5 tbsp) of preferred protein powder
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Line a 13 x 9 pan with parchment paperĀ½
  • Combine the peanut butter with the maple syrup
  • Add in protein powder and almond flour, mix until thick dough forms
  • Stir in chocolate chips
  • Press dough into prepared pan
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes
  • Slice into 16 bars
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Best results with smooth peanut butter but, chunky peanut can be used, but use only 1/2 cup almond flour instead.
